A true Cubanism! Pisicorre slowed down or broken down is "Pisa y Corre". It's always been used in reference to a station wagon or an "eystachon guagon".
The first imported cars to Cuba were with automatic transmissions were station wagons. Stepping down on the accelerator (pisa) and going (corre or run) was a novel concept and quickly became known as pisicorre.
